Mission & Goals

Mission: To support and align all hemp industry stakeholders through the facilitation of actionable initiatives that will kickstart and sustain the Kentucky hemp industry.

As a 501(c)(6) membership-based non-profit trade group, we seek to encourage the research and development of new products made from industrial hemp while offering our members a network of like-minded, trusted individuals.

The KYHA and our members are dedicated to:

  • Leading the effort to improve hemp laws throughout Kentucky and the U.S.
  • Educating students of all ages about industrial hemp and hemp products.
  • Facilitating the exchange of information and technology between hemp agriculturalists, processors, and manufacturers.
  • Maintaining and defending the integrity of hemp products.
  • Advocating and supporting socially responsible and environmentally sound business practices.

We are a trade organization with a conscience, supporting ethical business practices including, but not limited to:

  • Accuracy in labeling
  • Use of environmentally friendly technologies
  • Sustainable and organic agriculture
  • High quality products and concern for human rights

The KYHA will take all necessary steps to raise consumer confidence in hemp products.

KYHA members share our mission, agree to the Association’s standards, and proudly display the KYHA Membership insignia.

THE KYHA OFFERS AN EXPERIENCE YOU CAN TRUST.

Our members actively engage in the importation, manufacture, research, and promotion of industrial hemp and hemp products giving them practical, hands-on experience.

The KYHA was founded in 2020 in a merger with the Kentucky chapter of the Hemp Industries Association.  Although the KYHA is no longer affiliated with the HIA as a chapter, our plan is to form coalitions with existing state and national hemp organizations to accomplish our goals in Kentucky and the U.S.

Because of our combined industry experience, we have continued a reputation of excellence in our leadership as well as our membership. As a voting member, we value your opinions and your voice.

“The KYHA brings hemp industry professionals together from across the state to share knowledge about what they've learned, what they are seeing, and what they can expect."
